Cpanel : Brief Introduction and Guide for non technical Users

Nowadays, with the introduction of Graphical User Interface or Hosting Control Panel for managing the website hosting accounts the number of webmasters who are not well versed in handling the scripts and commands has increased significantly. Right now there are several interfaces for managing the hosting accounts and the most popular among them is Cpanel. Some of the features that are present in a Cpanel Account are following:

  2. Backup: There are two styles of backup you can backup your whole account or select the database and folders.
  3. Easy Transfer of Account: There are many Hosting service providers who are providing the interface of Cpanel and whatever be the nature of your web account Reseller, Shared Account, Single Domain or Multiple Domains. You have to simply backup your whole account and reinstate it on the similar account with another hosting service provider.
  4. Cron Jobs: People who are habituated of using open source scripts might have experience of using the cron jobs. For a layman there is one line definition, this is a specific function provided in your hosting account for automating your tasks. Before using it make sure that you are aware about the types of script which are allowed on your account by the web hosting company.
